Applying for a Grant

Grant Criteria

Individuals applying for a grant from the Futures Foundation must have an intellectual disability and be receiving services from MORC, Inc.   Individuals who do not receive services from a MORC, Inc. program are not eligible for grants at this time.

What Kinds of things can I receive a grant for?

If eligible, individuals can apply for a grant for things that improve quality of life but cannot be funded by any other funding source.  Some examples are below.

Needs:  This can include things like hearing aids, dental services, wheelchair ramps, lifts, communication devices, furniture or basic necessities.

Wants:  This can include things like camp, recreational programs, YMCA memberships, equipment to pursue a hobby, special events and more.

Dreams:  This can include once in a lifetime opportunities or experiences or assistance in pursuing a life goal.

How do I apply for a grant?

Notify your MORC Supports Coordinator of your desire to apply for a Futures Foundation grant.

Fully fill out the below grant application form.  Your Supports Coordinator can assist you with the process. The application must be signed by the person to be served by the grant or their legal guardian.

What are the grant deadlines?

The Futures Foundation makes grants on a quarterly basis.  The deadlines are February 1, May 1, August 1 and November 1.  Individuals are notified if the grant is approved shortly after each deadline. Emergency grants are also considered throughout the year on an as needed basis.

In order to maximize the resources of the Foundation and to serve the most people possible, if you receive a grant from the Futures Foundation, you are not eligible to apply again for a period of one year.
