A hallmark of MORC’s leadership in its field is its comprehensive training activities for caregivers, families, providers, administrators, and mentors to support the implementation of its core principles of gentle teaching and community integration throughout the region and the world.
MORC Training Department: The Department offers a wide variety of training classes, workshops and other educational activities geared primarily to support direct care staff for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Center for Positive Living Supports: The Center provides leadership in promoting a culture of gentleness in Michigan’s public mental health system as well as provides a safety net to the system with individuals with developmental disabilities who have complex behavioral challenges.
National and International Technical Assistance: MORC staff provide consultations and technical assistance on issues such as deinstitutionalization, gentle teaching, and community integration approaches for individuals with developmental disabilities to leaders and administrators throughout the United States and the world.
Navigating the System Seminars: A series of free, monthly seminars on a wide variety of topics related to the field of disabilities and other issues of interest to the individuals we serve and their families.
