Enhanced Family Supports are offered to a small number of
families living in Oakland County. This intensive, home-based
program is for children between the ages of 3 and 18 and their
families where there are barriers to reaching one’s
potential.
The program focuses on creating a safe and loving environment
for all members of the family. It incorporates a team approach,
consisting of a support coordinator, psychologist, and family
support technician.
The team works with families on developing a supportive treatment
plan to be implemented in the home. The plan addresses mental
health and skill development issues and community integration.
The team coordinates with schools, community organizations,
mental health agencies, and other treating professionals.
This intensive program is in place for approximately six
months to one year, depending on the need and progress of
the family. Aftercare is provided by other departments at
MORC.
