Implicit Bias Training

Implicit bias is described as prejudices that unknowingly influence thinking and reaction to events and information. Implicit Bias negatively impacts the way people are treated by health professionals and the structural inequities in healthcare can be detrimental for people of color and other members of marginalized communities including those we support through Easterseals MORC.  It is essential for us to engage in this inclusive and engaging learning experience. Our live/online instructor-led Implicit Bias Training includes large group discussions, interactive breakout rooms, challenging videos, and self-assessments.

As LARA recently expanded the clinician groups required to take implicit bias training, Easterseals MORC is proud to help fulfill this need.

Easterseals MORC offers several options for Implicit Bias Training, including two-hour and three-hour offerings and customized trainings to meet CME requirements for medical professionals.  All of our Implicit Bias trainings meet the Implicit Bias Training requirements associated with Michigan’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) Rule 338.7001(c).

Non-CME Implicit Bias Trainings

This training is for non-medical professionals who need to meet the LARA requirement.  Social Work CEUs are also offered for this training.
