Consulting Services

The Center offers the following services to assist organizations in their efforts to support a specific individual.  Prior to Center involvement, appropriate release(s) of information must be obtained. These services also include up to 45 days of follow-up support via telephone or e-mail. See the attached fee schedule for costs.

Individual Specific Consultation

The Center will send one or two specialists to the individual’s home to assess the needs of the individual. The specialists may include a Social Worker/Support Coordinator (SW/SC), Psychologist, or Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Specialist (QIDP). The evaluation will result in written recommendations based on interviews/observation with relevant personnel and the individual served. The recommendations will primarily address training and support needs of the caregivers and the individual served. The recommendations may include suggestions for the organization, the environment, or the plan of service.

Site Specific Consultation

The Center will send one or two specialists to the setting to assess the needs of the individuals supported in that setting and their staff. The specialists may include a Social Worker/Support Coordinator (SW/SC), Psychologist, or Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Specialist (QIDP). The evaluation will result in written recommendations based on interviews/observation with relevant personnel and the individuals served. The recommendations will primarily address training and support needs of the caregivers and all of the individuals served in that environment. The recommendations may include suggestions for the organization, the environment, or the plans of service of the individuals.

Organizational Consultation

The Center will send one or two specialists to assess the needs of the organization in relation to providing services to vulnerable individuals.  The specialists may include a Social Worker/Support Coordinator (SW/SC), Psychologist, or Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Specialist (QIDP).  The evaluation will result in written recommendations based on interviews/observations with relevant personnel and those served across several settings.  The recommendations will primarily address the organization’s culture, personnel practices, training opportunities, and management strategies as they relate to those served.   The recommendations will include suggestions for the organization’s leadership team.
