Direct Support Professionals have an essential role as a part of the health care team and care plan. Using awareness of the Individual’s Plan of Service, students will learn how to support and respond to health issues including allergic reaction shock, communicable diseases, universal precautions, and infection control. Additionally, measuring and record documenting temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and the first aid procedure for tonic-clonic seizures will be addressed.
